We booked a 3 day trip in late September with Capt David. We have fished here for a few years and were looking for a new Capt. David was able to put us on fish every day. We mainly want Redfish and Sheepshead and that is what we got! Capt David was great to work with and we look forward to seeing him again.read more

I’m big on reviews! After searching and reading reviews about local Fishing Guides near New Orleans, Captain David stood out the most! Very glad and lucky to get such an experience Fishing Guide. Captain David was polite, very well manner, funny, patience, on time, passionate about fishing, and knowledgeable of the area. My wife loved it. Afterward our trip, she was telling me, Man…... Captain baited the hook, grabbed the fish, netted the fish, and cleaned the fish! I’m a fisherman and Captain insisted that I have fun fishing and he took care of the rest. We will return and share our experience with Family, Fellow Law enforcement Friends and College buddies! See you soon Captain; you made memories that we will cherish forever! Thank you, Mike and Amanda G.read more

Captain David provided an awesome expierence. We caught boatloads of fish, mostly reds including one bull, trout, sheephead, stingray and a cat. But fishing is fishing, sometimes you do well, sometimes you don’t- although it was clear he had the fish dialed in. More importantly, David went the extra mile in every aspect. I highly recommend him and will book again if I’m ever in the area again.read more

Capt. David is a joy to fish with, took my 90 y/o grandfather out and he hasn't stopped talking about the trip. You can see the joy and passion of being on the water on Captain David's face and it cycles down to his guest. Can't wait to be out on the water again with you!!

Had a great time with Capt. David!!! Was a lot of fun fishing, good laughs and he teaches you as the trip goes on. His excitement for fishing gets you pumped up before you even catch a fish! He'll make sure you have a great time, and will run you all over to put you on some fish. Would definitely recommend! Anyone can take you out on a boat, but not everyone knows what they're doing! Will definitely come back againread more

Louisiana Fishing Charter - David Alphonso Redfish Nation

David Alphonso Jr.

Your Captain

Step Aboard and Start Your Adventure

I feel as though I'm a Captain Amongst Captains. I maintain healthy relationships with other captains and established chartering services in the area as a captain for hire. My family is of Islenos decent, Spanish settlers from the Canary Islands; and they've been on the water for generations dating back to the 1780's. My passion is the adventurous hunt for redfish in the interior, shallow marsh. I am a strong advocate of conservation and volunteer with groups such as the Audubon Institute, LDWF Aquatic Volunteer Instructor Program, Wish To Fish Louisiana, and TAG Louisiana (marine tag & release research). My passion for redfish also drove me to not only compete, but work as crew in tournaments such as the Elite Team Redfish Series, America's Redfish Cup by Tito's, Inshore Fishing Association (IFA) Redfish Tour, Dockside Marine Redfish Trail, and more.
